What Is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid protective layer that bonds to your car's clear coat and hardens into a slick, glossy shell. Unlike wax, which washes off in a few weeks, a professional coating stays on for years. It makes water and dirt slide off, protects the paint from UV, bird droppings, tree sap and road grime, and makes regular washing much faster.In Western Washington, where cars face months of rain, road film, moss and pine sap, a coating keeps the paint easier to clean and better protected through the wet season.

Our Ceramic Coating Process

  1. Inspection – We check the paint under good lighting and tell you what the coating can and cannot fix.

  2. Wash and decontamination – A full hand wash, iron remover and clay bar remove dirt and bonded contamination.

  3. Paint correction (optional) – Machine polishing removes swirl marks and light scratches so they are not locked under the coating.

  4. Inspection –  We wipe every panel to remove polish oils so the coating bonds directly to the clear coat.

  5. Inspection – he coating is applied panel by panel, leveled and checked.

  6. Inspection – We walk you through the result and give you simple care instructions.

Curing and Aftercare

A ceramic coating starts protecting your paint the same day, but it keeps hardening over the next couple of weeks.

  • Keep the car dry for the first 24 hours where possible.

  • Do not wash the car for the first 7 days.

  • Avoid automatic car washes with brushes; hand wash with a pH-neutral soap.

  • Remove bird droppings and sap quickly, even on a coated car.

  • A maintenance wash every few weeks keeps the coating performing at its best.

Our 5 Year Shield starts at $799 and our 10 Year Armor starts at $999. The final price depends on vehicle size and paint condition, and on whether paint correction is needed first

How long does ceramic coating last?

Our packages are rated for 5 years and 10 years. Real life depends on how the car is washed and stored. Hand washing and regular maintenance help the coating last its full life.

Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

Not always. A coating locks in whatever is under it, so if your paint has swirls or light scratches, we recommend correction first. We will tell you during the inspection.

Can you apply ceramic coating at my home?

The easiest way to book is by calling or texting (253)-217-5698. We’re available 7 days a week, from 8 AM to 8 PM.

How much does ceramic coating cost?

Yes. Our service is mobile. We bring water and power, and we need a parking spot with enough space to work around the car. In heavy rain we may reschedule or ask for covered parking such as a garage.

Is ceramic coating better than wax?

Yes, for long-term protection. Wax lasts a few weeks, while a ceramic coating lasts years, resists chemicals better and makes washing easier.

Ceramic coating or paint protection film (PPF)?

Ceramic coating adds gloss and makes the car easy to clean. PPF is a thicker film that protects against rock chips. Many owners put PPF on the front end and ceramic coating on the rest of the car.
